The Kacha Badam song which has gone viral on social media platforms like Facebook, Whatsapp and Youtube is creation of a simple man named Bhuban Badyakar. Bhuban Badyakar is not a singer or musician but a simple man who sells Moongfali or Peanuts on his bike to earn a living. Bhuban hails from a small village in West Bengal. He goes from village to village on his motor bike to sell peanuts. Bhuban sings the song Kacha Badam which is own creation to attract customers. He earns Rs 200 to 250 a day by selling peanuts. He also exchanges clothes and utensils to sell peanuts to villagers.

Recently many social media influencers have capitalized on the popularity of this song and created their own version of the song. Many of them are posting dance videos.  The song has become popular not only in India but also overseas.  Some netizens are creating funny memes as well.  A rap version of the song was created featuring the original creator Bhuban Badyakar, Rapper Ro-E and Pragya Dutta which has garnered millions of views on internet.

 

Recently on 5th February a haryanvi version of the song featuring Bhuban Badyakar and Amit Dhull was released.

Bhuban Badyakar a simple person has become famous overnight but his financial condition is not very good. He lives with his family in a temporary house. He has demanded that the government should give him some financial assistance so that he can get a proper house for his family.
