Mann Storyline, Plot
Mann is a bollywood movie starring Aamir Khan, Manisha Koirala, Anil Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Deepti Bhatnagar, Dalip Tahil and Neeraj Vohra. This film is directed by director Inder Kumar. This is an emotional romantic film. Music of the film is composed by Sanjeev Darshan. Inder Kumar and Ashok Thakeria have produced the movie.
Dev Karan Singh (Aamir Khan) is talented painter. He is very ambitious but deeply in debt. He decides to marry Anita (Deepti Bhatnagar) daughter of a wealthy businessman Singhania (Dalip Tahil) just for the sake of money. Priya (Mainsha Koirala) on the other hand is a simple girl who teaches music to children. Priya is engaged to Raj (Anil Kapoor). She feels obligated to Raj as he stood by her in difficult times. Priya and Dev meet each other at a cruise. Dev being a flamboyant guy makes an effort to impress Priya but she does not likes him initially. Later as they spend more time together they come closer and start liking each other. Both of them realize that they are not doing the right thing as they are already engaged to different people. They decide to meet after six months.
In the meanwhile Dev makes tremendous efforts to become a successful painter and with the help of his friend Natu (Neeraj Vohra) he is able to sell his paintings at good price and becomes a well known painter. He breaks his engagement with Anita and decides to meet Priya after being successful. Priya is not ready to call off her engagement with Raj as she thinks it would be very unfair to Raj. She writes a letter to Dev explaining her situation. The letter does not gets delivered to Dev and comes in Raj’s hands. When he reads the letter he asks Priya to go back to Dev as they both loved each other. Priya agrees and when she is on route to meet Dev she meets an accident and loses her legs. She does not wants to become a burden on Dev. Dev kept waiting for Priya but when she does not arrives he thinks Priya has truned him down.
After some time Priya attends an exhibition of Dev’s paintings. She likes a painting very much and decides to buy it. This painting was very close to Dev as he had painted Priya along with his grandmother in this painting. He is unaware of the person who wants to buy the painting. When he hears that the person is disabled and understands the sentiments behind the painting he decides to give it for free.
Dev and Priya meet again at a theatre but Priya stops Raj from revealing anything about her handicap. Dev gifts Priya an ornament that his grandmother bought for her if she would have become Dev’s wife. But Dev comes to know about Priya’s reality when he finds his painting that he had gifted for free to a disabled girl. He realizes that Priya is that disable girl and the two had an emotional reunion. He promises to love Priya at all cost and marries her.
