Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is 1998 blockbuster movie starring Shahrukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee in lead roles. This movie is directed by Karan Johar and was his debut movie as a director. Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, Sana Saeed, Jonny Lever and Reema Lagoo also play pivotal role in the movie. Salman Khan in guest appreance is one of the highlights of the movie. Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) and Anjali Sharma (Kajol) are very good friends. They both spend a lot of time together. Anjali has a tomboyish nature and loves playing basketball. She often beats Rahul at this game. Their is never a dull moment in their friendship. Suddenly after the arrival of Tina (Rani Mukherjee), daughter of principal Ravikant Malhotra (Anupam Kher) Rahul’s fascination for Tina starts developing. Tina also reciprocates Rahul’s feelings and the two fall in love with each other. Anjali does not likes Rahul’s growing intimacy with Tina and gets jealous. She realizes her love for Rahul. To divert her attention she changes her college and town. Tina and Rahul marry each other. They are blessed with a daughter who is named Anjali (Sana Saeed). Tina could not survive due to pregnancy complications. Rahul is left alone with his daughter and Mother, Savita Khanna(Farida Jalal).
After eight years Rahul’s daughter Anjali Khanna grows up. Her mother, Tina had left a few letters for her. In one of her letter to her daughter, Anjali. She disclosed her wish to re unite Rahul and his best friend Anjali Sharma. The little girl Anjali wants to fulfill all wishes of her mother so she decides to join a trip to Shimla with her grandmother Savita. Anjali Khanna is also part of this trip as she was a music teacher and also the one who was conducting the trip. Rahul follows his daughter and meets his former best friend Anjali. His daughter rekindles their romance and brings the two together.
Anjali’s fiance, Aman(Salman Khan) is set to marry her. Little Anjali Khanna meets Aman and tells her about her mother’s last wish. When Anjali is getting ready for the ceremony, Rahul confesses his love for her. Aman realizes that both Rahul and Anjali are meant to be together and calls off his engagement. In the end Rahul and Anjali Sharma are united and Tina’s last wish is fulfilled by her daughter.
