Ishq 1997 Music Storyline Starcast

Ishq is a 1997 blockbuster movie starring Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Juhi Chawla and Kajol in lead roles. The romantic comdey movie is also full of emotions and action making it a complete entertainer. The movie also stars Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Dalip Tahil, Johnny Lever, Tiku Talsanina, Deven Verma, Mohan Joshi and Razak Khan. The film is directed by Inder Kumar and produced by Gordhan Tanwani. Music of the movie is composed by Anu Malik. 

Raja (Aamir Khan) and Ajay (Ajay Devgan) are two very good friends. While Raja is a poor mechanic, Ajay is son of a wealthy father, Ranjit Rai (Sadashiv Amrapurkar). Harbans Lal Saxena (Dalip Tahil) is Ranjit Rai’s friend and has a daughter Madhu ( Juhi Chawla). Ranjit Rai and Harbans Lal want to convert their friendship into relationshiip by tying the knot of their respective son and daughter, Ajay and Juhi.  Ranjit Rai sends Ajay to visit Harbans Lal Saxena’s place to meet Juhi.  Ajay falls head over heals in love with Juhi’s freind Kajal (Kajol) who is a poor girl. Ajay and Kajal start liking each other. Raja who accompanies Ajay starts liking Juhi. Juhi too starts liking Raja. When Ranjit Rai and Harbans Lal come to know about this they try to separate the love birds. They offer money to Raja and Kajal to go away from the life of Ajay and Juhi and let them marry. When the two refuse to accept money their is an attempt to kill them by Ranjit Rai and Harbans Lal Saxena.  The young lovers refuse to give up. 

When Ranjit Rai and Harbans Lal Saxena realize that their children are being very adamant, they pretend to agree to Ajay and Juhi’s will to marry person of their choice. Raja and Madhu’s engagment is fixed and when on the way the ceremony Kajal is kidnapped. Raja saves Kajal from kidnappers and consoles her. But their photo is clicked when Raja is comforting Kajal. Conspirators produce the pictures of Raja and Kajal before Ajay and Juhi to make them believe that Raja and Kajal are having an affair.

Ajay and Juhi fall into trap of their parents and blame Kajal and Raja of indfedility. They decide to marry according to their parents wishes. More fuel is added to fire when Ajay and Juhi get the fake news that Kajal is pregnant with Raja’s Child. Raja plans to teach his friends Ajay and Madhu a lesson. He attacks them while they are travelling in a car. He pretends to be physical with Madhu, angered Ajay beats up Raja to protect Madhu and comforts her. Raja is beaten badly and taken to custody. Kajal pleads to parents of Ajay and Mahdu to release Raja. Both Kajal and Raja agree to leave the country and never come back.

When Ajay and Madhu are getting ready to marry, Ajay’s uncle (Lambodar) produces photograph of Ajay and Kajal which were taken when Raja attacked Ajay and Madhu. In this picture Ajay is seen comforting Madhu. He understands that Raja only pretended the attack so that Ajay and Madhu could understand that the pictures shown to them were taken in similar circumstances and both Raja and Kajal were innocent. Ajay is immensely angered at this revleation and almost kills his dad. Madhu and Ajay rush to stop Raja and Kajal at the shipyard. They plead for forgiveness and ask them to come back. All four lovers are re united. Ajay and Madhu’s parents also plead forgiveness and realize that their true happiness lies in happiness of their children.
