Albela (1951) Songs Music Starcast Storyline

Albela is one of the most popular and successful movie of 1951. This movie is known for its music and super hit songs. The film stars Bhagwan Dada and Geeta Bali in lead roles. This movie is also written and directed by charismatic Bhagwan Dada. Music of the movie is composed by C Ramachandra. Lyrics of all songs are written by popular lyricist Rajinder Krishan. The movie Albela was also released in Tamil version and the movie had twelve songs in Tamil.

Albela Brief Storyline

Albela is story of Pyarelal (Bhagwan Dada), an artist who lives with his family consisting of his father, mother, elder brother, brother’s wife and sister. Pyarelal’s father is a retired man. His sister Vimla’s marriage is fixed and the family requires Rs. 2000 to get her married. Father has a mere saving of 1000 Rs. while Pyarelal’s bother manages to arrange 600 Rs. Pyarelal on the other hand could only arrange 100 Rs. Pyarelal’s father gets angry at him as he is able to arrange only 100 Rs. He asks Pyarelal to leave the house.  Pyarelal leaves the house and takes up the challenge of returning to home only once he becomes wealthy and famous. He meets a pretty actress named Asha (Geeta Bali) and both fall in love with each other. Pyarelal starts becoming famous and rich in quick time.  He wanted to help his family so he sends them lavish gifts and money hoping that his family too will be pleased with his success. One day he decides to visit his parental home to meet his family. He is shocked to learn that the gifts and money sent by him never reached to his family. His sister’s wedding is called off and his mother is no more. His brother too is in dire straits. In the end Pyarelal is able to reunite with his father and sister with  Asha’s help.
